| The Dutch Queen welcomes the new Ghana Ambassador to the Netherlands |

Den Haag – The Ambassador was received and escorted by one of Her Majesty’s chamberlains. On hand to support her was the Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Eric Odoi Anim riding in the second carriage together with Head of Consulor Affairs Mrs. Ama Darko & the First Secretary Ms. Salamathu Yakubu.
The coaches were pulled by 2 horses; the gala coach was preceded by 2 escorts in gala dress. The procession also included 2 mounted officers of the Haaglanden mounted police force wearing dress uniform, one officer riding in front of the procession and one behind it.
The Ambassador & her staff were dressed in colourful Kente dress. On this occasion the guard of honour at Paleis Noordeinde consisting of a guard commander and 2 detachments were provided by the Royal Netherlands Air Force base Gilze-Rijen. The music was provided by the Orchestra of The Royal Netherlands Air Force. Two guard posts at the entrance to the palace were manned by members of the Royal Netherlands Military Police.
After a salute of 4 drum rolls the Ghana National Anthem was played, this was followed with an inspection of the guard of honour by The Ambassador. After the inspection The Ambassador and her entourage were led inside the Palace to sign the Royal Guest Book followed by the presentation of the Letters of Credence to Her Majesty Queen Beatrix. After presenting Credentials to Her Majesty The Queen, the New Ambassador emerged from the Royal Chamber flanked by members of Embassy staff to the waiting Royal Horse drawn carriages guided by the queen's Chamberlain. They departed the Queen's Palace and was again transported and escorted back to the Embassy. |
